About the Virtual Learning Lab
Virtual and augmented reality offers a novel way to experience various possibilities and it is set to revolutionize the world as we know it. We are a dedicated team of experts exploring the vast potential of the medium to help accelerate the learning process.
We are an innovative research group at the Department of Psychology at the University of Copenhagen that has the aim of producing new knowledge that can change how people learn through optimally designed virtual technology.
Our current research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of learning in immersive learning environments (including but not limited to virtual and augmented reality).
In order to take a significant step towards truly understanding how people learn we focus on combining laboratory research with experiments in classrooms using theories from cognitive psychology and modern methodology. At the Virtual Learning Lab we can assess the learning process by measuring cognitive and emotional activity in real time with measures such as EEG, GSR, ECG, EMG, and eye tracking.
